How much do tickets cost?

All tickets prices and options can be found HERE.

Children ages 2 and under are free.

What methods of payment does KC Wheel accept?

We are cashless! KC Wheel accepts Master Card, Visa, Discover & American Express.

Are reservations required?

To reserve the VIP gondola, you will choose a specific date and time.  If you need to change your VIP reservation, please contact info@kcwheel.com.  When purchasing General Admission tickets, you will choose a day and your tickets are valid anytime during our operational hours.

Are tickets good for a specific time, or for the entire day?

VIP tickets require a specific date and time.  General Admission tickets are valid for one admission on the date selected to visit during operating hours (not unlimited rides per day).

How can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased HERE or at the onsite ticket booth located in front of the KC Wheel or at the golf hut for Pennway Putt tickets.

If I don’t print my tickets will my tickets scan from my smartphone?

Yes, you can scan your ticket barcode from your smartphone.

What if I lose my email ticket confirmation?

If you have lost your email ticket confirmation, please contact info@kcwheel.com please tell us the email address you used to purchase the tickets and the name of the purchaser. In most cases we can easily look them up and resend them.

Is it safe for pregnant women to ride The KC Wheel? What about babies?

The KC Wheel is a safe and slow ride for people of all ages and conditions, including pregnant women, small children, and babies. Children under the age of 2 ride free with the purchase of an adult ticket and accompanying adult.

Are the gondolas private or do you ride with other people or groups?

We provide every customer with an exclusive and personalized experience, ensuring you won’t need to share your gondola with anyone you don’t know.

Hours and Weather

When is the KC Wheel open?

Operating hours subject to change due to holidays and special events. For our standard operating hours please see our calendar.

Does the KC Wheel ever shut down because of the weather?

The KC Wheel will operate in most weather conditions. Only extreme weather such as high wind speeds, lightning and/or tornados, extreme temperatures, and ice would cause the attraction to shut down.

Riding the KC Wheel

How long is the ride?

Each experience on the KC Wheel lasts approximately 12-15 minutes.

How many people can fit in a gondola at one time?

Each gondola has seating for 6 adults. The KC Wheel VIP Gondola can seat up to six people.

Is it possible to bring our own food and drinks onto the KC Wheel?

No food and beverages are permitted. 

Are gondolas comfortable in all weather?

Each gondola is climate controlled, so you can ride in comfort year-round.

May I bring a stroller into the gondola?

Strollers are not permitted in gondolas. Stroller parking is provided. We are not liable for any damaged or stolen items.

Is the KC Wheel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we have 2 gondolas with 32-inch-wide door openings that are accessible to guests using wheelchairs. A ramp is available to accommodate rolling into our wheelchair accessible gondolas. Guests using wheelchairs and riding in our standard gondolas have the option of either riding with their wheelchair or transferring from their wheelchair onto the seating in the gondolas. Please note, due to space limitations, each standard gondola can accommodate a guest, with their wheelchair, and 2-3 additional riders. Guests that wish to ride with more friends or family or that simply do not wish to bring their wheelchairs on board may transfer from their wheelchair to the gondola seating. For guests transferring out of their wheelchairs, the KC Wheel is happy to store your wheelchair safely and securely on the loading platform, where it will be immediately available at the conclusion of your ride.



Do you allow pets?

Pets are not allowed to ride in gondolas. 

Do you allow service animals?

Service animals are allowed and welcome!

Yes, there are multiple hotels within walking distance or a short car ride.

What are the hours of operation for the KC Wheel and Pennway Putt?

Hours vary, it is best to check daily hours when you’re planning your trip. Go to the calendar scroll over the date you’d like to visit, and the hours will pop up.

May I bring something to eat or drink?

No outside food and beverages are permitted at the KC Wheel or Pennway Putt. 

Rent the lights at the KC Wheel

How can I rent the lights on the KC Wheel for a special occasion?

To rent the lights on the KC Wheel for your special event or occasion, please contact our events team at events@kcwheel.com.

What types of events are suitable for renting the lights on the KC Wheel?

The KC Wheel lights are a stunning addition to any event, including gender reveals, proposals, weddings and anniversaries. We also offer special corporate and nonprofit lighting sponsorships. Whether it’s a personal milestone, corporate or nonprofit function, our lights can create a captivating backdrop for your special event.

How far in advance should I book the lights on the KC Wheel for my event?

We recommend booking the lights on the KC Wheel well in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Popular dates tend to fill up quickly, so it’s a good idea to reach out to us as soon as you have a date in mind. Booking at least three to six months ahead is advisable for larger events to ensure availability. Booking lighting events is on a first come first served basis.

Can I customize the colors and of the lights on the KC Wheel?

Yes, we can customize the colors of the lights to match the theme or mood on several of our lighting packages.

Where is the best place to park?

There is parking available on first come, first serve basis at Pennway Point. There are overflow garages and parking lots nearby. The closest parking garage is located at 1804 Broadway St, Kansas City, MO 64108 (0.3 miles) from the Kansas City Wheel https://maps.app.goo.gl/N44exFpScLGhTbHU6

Where do buses park?
